NCLEX Exam Content Description

There are two forms of the National Board Licensing Examination. Much of the following information is the same between the two exams, with two main differences:

The job description of a Registered Nurse is more comprehensive than that of a Registered Nurse, so the NCLEX-RN will have questions on topics that do not appear in the NCLEX-PN, such as: B. management of parenteral nutrition and administration of blood products. . Otherwise, many questions appear identical in both exams.

The distribution of similar categories and subcategories differs significantly in both exams to reflect the differences in job descriptions between RNs and PNs. The distribution of categories and subcategories is given at the end of the description of each test.

The NCLEX can be a very challenging test. Make sure you're ready for the test the first time. For more in-depth resources, see ourBest NCLEX Review Courses.
